Surge phenomenon of cross flow fan and its solution
October 13 , 2022Cross flow fans are widely used, and some problems will inevitably occur in the process of long-term use. For example, cross flow fans sometimes experience surge. The surge phenomenon of the fan is like asthma, the fan periodically blows out and reverses the flow, and severe surge can also cause fatigue damage to the cross flow fan blade.
When the cross flow fan has surge phenomenon, there will be the following three manifestations.
1. Noise increases.
When the cross flow fan is working normally, the noise is relatively small. However, when the surge phenomenon occurs, the inside of the fan sometimes makes a dull sound, and sometimes makes a sharp sound, and the sound is relatively loud.
2. Vibration intensifies.
When the cross flow fan has surge phenomenon, there will be obvious vibration phenomenon.
3. Difficulty reading.
When the surge phenomenon occurs in the cross flow fan, the value displayed by the micro pressure gauge and the rotational speed torque meter changes rapidly, and the range and amplitude of the change are very large, showing a periodic change.
So for the surge phenomenon of the cross flow cooling fan, there are the following solutions.
1. The ambient temperature should be 75ºC≥-40ºC.
2. The industrial gas passing through the cross flow fan is not allowed to contain strong acid, strong alkali and various solutions.
3. Dust and other sundries are not allowed to fall into the fan, so as not to cause the fan to burn and the fan blades to break.
4. Before installation, check whether the fan is damaged or deformed due to packaging and transportation. If there is damage or deformation, it should be repaired and installed.
5. Check whether the parts and screws are loose, and whether the blades and the air duct collide or shift. If they collide or shift, they should be adjusted and installed.
