How to choose a good cooling fan?
October 11 , 2021With the continuous improvement of people's living and economic level in China, DC cooling fans are more and more widely used in our lives, which is also the main reason for many DC cooling fans suppliers. So, among so many suppliers, how do we choose a good cooling fan?
1. Choose from the appearance: From the outer surface, it should be thicker overall, with pure color (especially black), and there is no burr on the edge of the frame leaf. Look at the thickness of the fan blade (very important because it is too thin and easy to break) , and there is not much deformation when pinching the outer frame by hand.
2. Choose from the bearing: Generally, the bearings of the cooling fan are divided into two types, one is the ball type, collectively referred to as the ball bearings. There is also sleeve type, collectively referred to as sleeve bearing. Their difference between them is that ball bearings have long service life and low noise, but the price is very expensive. The service life of sleeve bearing is 1/3 shorter than that of ball bearings. Some noise may occur after a period of use (more than one year), but the price is cheap. If the price of some double ball bearing exhaust fans is similar to that of sleeve fan, it means that their ball bearings are old or obsolete, so don't buy them. The service life of the bearings in the new products promoted by various manufacturers (except for clearly indicated sleeve bearing) will not exceed the ball bearings, and there will be noise in future use.
3. After the fan is running normally: After allowing the brushless cooling fan to run normally, grasp the fan with your hand to feel the vibration, and change the angle to different angles. The feeling is the same, indicating that the fan is vibrating very well. If there is vibration, Resonance may occur on the case. In the past, some people had loud noises when they turned on, which was mainly caused by vibration when the fan started.
Stop the DC cooling fan from rotating by hand (don't break the fan blades) for about one minute, and touch the center of the fan blade to feel its temperature. If the temperature is high, it will be unqualified. This can prevent the DC cooling fan from being burned and causing fire when it is stuck.
You should only hear the sound of wind (some high speed may have electromagnetic sound), if there are other sounds, it means that the quality is not very good. If the speed of the DC cooling fan is not very high, like a 7 cm fan, the speed does not exceed 3500 RPM, but the loud noise indicates that the quality of the fan is too poor.
4. Look at the parameters on the outer packaging: The following two parameters are now provided for your reference. Voltage: 5V 12V 24V 48V; Current: The operating current is less than 250mA (more than 250mA indicates that this product is unqualified).
